What is BC Dance Educators?

Welcome to the BC Dance Educators Association where dance education, opportunity, and community come together.

The BC Dance Educators Association is proud to support dance as an important part of the educational, cultural and community life of British Columbia.

​

We are dedicated to supporting dance teachers, educators, studios, students, families, community organizations and dancers across the province. Through education, professional development, festivals, performances and opportunities to participate in dance, we work to promote the many benefits that dance brings to individuals and communities.

We believe dance is about much more than learning steps. Dance provides opportunities to develop confidence, creativity, discipline, knowledge, physical awareness and personal growth. It brings people together, encourages participation and creates meaningful opportunities for young people and adults to learn, perform and celebrate their accomplishments.

 

The BC Dance Educators Association is committed to encouraging positive, inclusive, respectful and supportive environments where dancers of all experience levels and abilities can participate and grow.
