The British Columbia Dance Educators' Association was formed as a not for profit entity in 2010 to bring the dance community together. For issues concerning associations and Government bodies, such as SOCAN. The purposes of this association are to promote dance and dance education in British Columbia, to work with all and any government agencies on behalf of all the members to assist in licensing, regulations and common issues and to also provide a forum for education on the rights and regulations of dance teachers and dance studios with respect to all government regulations.
All members are dance teachers, dance educators or studio owners/directors. There is something to be said about being apart of an association with people so highly involved in the dance world and be able to have a say in different issues.
